Westerner Park is seeking a Human Resources Administrative Assistant summer student to join our team this Summer as part of the Canada Summer Jobs Program! Here’s what you’ll be doing:
  • Assist with day-to-day operations of the Human Resources function including both HR and Volunteer support 
  • Provide clerical and administrative support to the Workforce business unit 
  • Compile and update employee records (hard and soft copies)
  • Support with HR Projects and development of training presentations
  • Coordinate communication with candidates, pre-screen, schedule interviews, and send offer letters
  • Support onboarding and offboarding processes 
  • Assist with recruitment and sourcing candidates and updating our database
  • Support with front desk administration duties, including but not limited to answering phones, greeting guests, and office administration tasks as requested
  • Assist with report and presentation preparation

Is this you? Here’s what we’re looking for:
Attending a business related post secondary program, or a recent graduate, preferably with a Human Resources focus, is an asset
  • Human Resources experience is an asset 
  • Experience using the Microsoft Office 365 suite 
  • A pleasant, positive, and courteous attitude 
  • Must qualify for the Canada Summer Jobs Program 

Rate of Pay: $18.00 Per Hour
