• Set up, maintain, and dismantle event spaces, both indoors and outdoors.
• Complete event cleanup and janitorial duties before, during, and after events, including washrooms, floors, public areas, rooms, and pavilions.
• Open and close facilities and grounds as required.
• Work cooperatively with supervisors, staff, suppliers, contractors, volunteers, clients, and guests.
• Complete event-specific setup and light maintenance tasks, including minor repairs, painting, and furniture repairs.
• Support grounds maintenance, including sidewalks, parking lots, lawns, gardens, and other areas.
• Operate equipment and machinery as trained and authorized.
• Report maintenance, safety, and facility concerns to the appropriate supervisor.

Here is What You Bring

• Previous experience in janitorial services, event setup, general labour, grounds maintenance, facility operations, or equipment operation is an asset.
• Experience operating equipment, tools, or machinery is an asset.
• Valid Class 5 driver’s licence is an asset.
• Basic computer skills, including email and Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to follow direction, work independently, and adapt to changing priorities.
• Reliable and dependable with a strong commitment to safety, cleanliness, and quality.
• Comfortable performing physically active work, including standing, walking, bending, lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling throughout a shift.
• Ability to safely lift and handle loads of up to approximately 50 lbs, with heavier items requiring appropriate equipment or team lifting.
• Comfortable working on a variety of indoor and outdoor surfaces and in varying weather conditions.
• Comfortable working in busy, noisy environments and around livestock or other animals.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays, and variable shifts based on event requirements.
