Westerner Park is seeking a detail-oriented and adaptable Ticketing Administrative Assistant (Canada Summer Jobs) to join our Ticketing & Entertainment team. This temporary, full-time role provides hands-on support for box office operations, administrative tasks, and event coordination, ensuring smooth ticketing processes and excellent guest experiences.
As part of the Ticketing & Entertainment team, the Ticketing Office Assistant plays a critical role in supporting major and minor events, supervising Entertainment Agents when needed, and helping maintain organized, efficient, and customer-focused ticketing operations.
Position Overview
Reporting to the Assistant Manager, Ticketing & Entertainment, the Ticketing Office Assistant is responsible for supporting the day-to-day operations of the box office and entertainment functions. This role requires adaptability, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, event-driven environment.
Key Areas of Responsibility
1. Box Office Operations
- Support box office activities and understand the full ticketing process.
- Provide coverage in the absence of the Assistant Manager or Manager.
- Assist with ticket scanning during events and ensure smooth customer interactions.
2. Administrative Support
- Support daily administrative functions and department documentation.
- Assist in developing and maintaining Standard Operating Procedures.
- Build and maintain tracking documents for events and operational processes.
3. Event Support & Supervision
- Provide on-site support during major and minor events.
- Supervise Entertainment Agents during events to ensure tasks are completed efficiently and professionally.
- Contribute to planning and coordination to support successful event execution.
4. Team Collaboration & Adaptability
- Collaborate with colleagues to maintain accurate records, track data, and support department goals.
- Adapt to changing priorities in a dynamic event environment.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support the Ticketing & Entertainment team.
Key Deliverables
- Efficient and accurate box office and ticketing support.
- Organized and up-to-date departmental records and SOPs.
- Smooth execution of ticketing and entertainment operations during events.
- Supervised and supported event staff ensuring operational excellence.
What You’ll Bring
- Currently attending a business-related post-secondary program (an asset).
- Previous experience in administrative support, event operations, or ticketing (an asset).
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365.
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and analytical thinking.
- Positive, professional, and courteous attitude.
- Ability to adapt to flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
- Eligibility for the Canada Summer Jobs Program.
