Westerner Park takes pride in hosting Westerner Days and is seeking individuals who are responsible, energetic, and outgoing to help make it possible from July 14 – July 19, 2026!
Position Overview
The Event Supervisor supports the coordination of Westerner Days internal activations taking place July 15–19, 2026. Reporting to the Event Services Team, this role focuses on assisting in event preparation, logistics coordination, and ensuring assigned activations are organized according to instructions in advance of the event.
This position contributes to the execution of detailed event plans, supports cross-functional coordination, and helps ensure activations are set up to deliver a seamless and positive guest experience.
The role plays an important part in maintaining the overall quality of Westerner Days and supporting the successful delivery of events at Westerner Park.
Key Areas of Responsibility
Under the direction of the Event Fulfilment Manager and the Event Services team, the Event Supervisor is responsible for the following:
- Coordination and execution of planned activities in the Kidventure pavilion including but not limited to games, bounce houses, sensory stations, vendors and entertainer activities.
- Working with staff and volunteers to create a safe, fun and exciting environment throughout all fair operation days.
- Customer service for fair goers of all ages, but focused on children and families.
- Extend support to the Market, the Junction, Agventure and chuckwagons as needed.
- Set up, maintenance and tear down of fair activities.
- Assisting in successful event execution under the direction of the Event Services Team.
What You’ll Bring
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Post-secondary education in Event Planning, Business Management, or a related field (completed or in progress) is considered an asset.
- Previous event or customer service experience preferred.
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent customer service skills with a professional and positive attitude.
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications.
- Ability to work effectively in fast-paced, high-pressure environments.
- Strong multitasking, problem-solving, and adaptability skills.
- Ability to work independently while also contributing collaboratively within a team environment.
- Availability to work all required shifts during Westerner Days from July 14–19, 2026, including days, evenings, and extended hours as needed based on operational needs.
