Westerner Park is seeking a seasonal, full-time RV Resort Lead Hand (approximately 25 weeks during the camping season) to join our dynamic team. The RV Resort Lead Hand is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the RV resort, ensuring a clean, safe, and well-maintained environment. This role plays a key part in delivering an exceptional guest experience through strong customer service and operational oversight, including guest check-in and check-out procedures, payment processing, and facility management.

Under the direction of the General Manager, Facilities & Park Operations, the RV Resort Lead Hand is responsible for: 

Operations: 
  • Oversee daily operations of the RV resort, overflow site, and equestrian RV sites, ensuring a clean, safe, and well-maintained environment. 
  • Monitor and maintain the resort’s facilities, including campsites, restrooms, showers, laundry room, roads, green spaces, and common areas. 
  • Manage guest check-in and check-out procedures, ensuring accuracy and a high level of customer service. 
  • Process guest payments and ensure proper handling of transactions. 
  • Collaborate with the Front Desk Administrative Assistant by providing regular updates. 
  • Conduct daily site walk-throughs and complete checklists. 
  • Perform routine meter checks and ensure accurate recording and reporting. 
  • Assist with seasonal opening and closing procedures, including water system start-up and shutdown. 
  • Ensure compliance with site rules, safety, and environmental regulations, addressing any violations or concerns. 
Maintenance & Repairs: 
  • Perform general resort maintenance, including lawn care, landscaping, and tree trimming. 
  • Conduct minor repairs as needed and escalate more serious concerns to Westerner Park Maintenance. 
  • Operate equipment such as skid steers, lawnmowers, and other landscaping equipment. 
  • Operate powered hand tools as required, including but not limited to trimmers and chainsaws. 
 
Administrative Duties: 
  • Monitor resort supply inventory and order supplies as required. 
  • Manage and monitor the reservation system. 
  • Review the RV Resort email inbox and respond to guest inquiries in a timely and professional manner. 
  • Maintain accurate records, including work orders, inspections, meter readings, payments, and compliance reports. 
Guest Service & Security: 
  • Respond to guest concerns regarding maintenance, reservations, or site services and resolve them promptly. 
  • Escalate complex situations to management in accordance with company procedures and policies. 
  • Perform security checks to ensure compliance with resort policies, including safety regulations. 
  • Assist with emergency response situations, such as severe weather or equipment failures.

Here is what you bring:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
  • 2–3 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Experience using Campspot or other campground reservation systems is considered an asset.
  • Proficiency in computer applications, including Microsoft Office and SharePoint.
  • Valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driver’s abstract.
  • Experience operating equipment such as skid steers and lawnmowers is preferred.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
  • Ability to lift and handle materials up to 35 lbs, with occasional lifting of items up to 60 lbs.

Compensation:
$23.00 to $27.00 per hour.
